Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Series S will not run Xbox One X Enhanced versions of backwards compatible games, and will instead run the Xbox One S versions of Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles with other beneficial features. When Hades was announced for Nintendo Switch, it was said that cross-save support with the PC version would be supported at launch. Due to "some setbacks in the final testing of this feature" it has been delayed past its Fall 2020 release date. Supergiant Games announced the news on Twitter, saying "we recently announced we're working on cross-saves for Hades, which will let our Early Access players transfer their save data to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. During our preparations for launch, we encountered some setbacks in the final testing of this feature. An Xbox Virtual Press Briefing has leaked online and seemingly shows part of what Microsoft's plans were for revealing the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S' price and release date before last week's leak. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer took multiple video interviews in July 2020 with an Xbox Series S simply sitting on his shelf, and no one noticed. Microsoft has responded to Apple’s updated terms of service that at first glance opens the door somewhat for streaming services like xCloud to exist in the iOS App Store. Unfortunately, the updated terms are still heavily restricted and in an official statement, Microsoft says it “remains a bad experience for customers.” Apple previously barred video game streaming services like xCloud and Stadia from using the iOS App Store, citing security concerns. Today, the company announced some revisions that would let streaming subscription services onto the App Store but with serious caveats. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is set to release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 16. But it's not your typical video game. It's an actual remote-controlled Mario Kart car that you control with your Nintendo Switch. The car has a camera mounted on it, and the feed is beamed to your Switch, along with a layer of augmented reality images to turn the real world into a Mario Kart level. It's quite elaborate. Last month, a new game trailer came from out of nowhere, much like the monkey jumping out of the stone in the tale of Journey to the West. The debut trailer for Black Myth: Wukong grabbed everyone’s attention in the gaming industry, accruing over  5 million hits on IGN’s YouTube channel  alone. The next-generation graphics look stunning, with the gameplay in this 13-minute demo showing that this was not just some CGI animation. UK grime artist Stormzy will be appearing in Watch Dogs Legion, and a familiar face from the franchise is also returning. Stormzy is a multi-award winning, chart-topping rapper, who's regularly made clear his distaste for the current UK government - which likely played a major role in his being cast in Watch Dogs Legion's anti-establishment narrative. Ubisoft has announced Riders Republic, a new open world extreme sports game from Ubisoft Annecy, the studio behind Steep. It's scheduled to arrive for Xbox Series X and S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia on February 25, 2021. Set across seven US national parks and landmarks, stitched together into a seamless open world, Riders Republic will offer five different sports: skiing, snowboarding, downhill biking, wingsuiting and, amazingly, rocket wingsuiting (more on that below). Ubisoft has announced that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game will return to sale for the first time since 2014 this holiday. Announced after the game's 10 year anniversary, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition will comprise the game and its DLC. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, developed by Ubisoft and scored by Anamanaguchi, was a brawler released in 2010. We said it "harkens back to old-school side-scrolling beat-em-ups such as River City Ransom and Streets of Rage, but with a few fun twists that make for one of the coolest downloadable games around," in our 8/10 review at the time .
