Tekken 8 Colorblind Filter Is Causing Vertigo and Migraines for Disabled Players

A recently revealed colorblind filter for Tekken 8 is negatively impacting disabled players with issues like nausea and migraines. While accessibility tools like colorblind options help to differentiate important on-screen information like opponents and their health bars, this setting is preventing some disabled individuals from viewing matches altogether. X/Twitter user SJS | Gatterall shared a 38-second clip of a brief match with the filter activated, stating, “Why is no one talking about the colorblind accessibility of Tekken 8. Literally no game has done this.” Why is no one talking about the color blind accessibility of Tekken 8. What to Expect From PlayStation in 2024

Sony had a curious 2023. The PlayStation 5 had blockbuster console exclusives, such as the superb Spider-Man 2 and the flashy Final Fantasy 16. It also saw the release of the PlayStation VR 2 , an impressive piece of virtual reality tech but one barely supported by a games library. Long-term PlayStation man and current CEO Jim Ryan also stepped down , with his full-time replacement yet to be named. So, what will 2024 have in store? There are plenty of exciting games to look forward to, as well as a good deal of mystery. What to Expect from Xbox in 2024

The Xbox Series X and S are no longer new. Year 4 has begun, and thus we are officially into the middle portion of what we expect (courtesy of Microsoft’s lawyers accidentally leaking the company’s own product roadmap) to be an eight-year console generation. So where do we stand? In last year’s version of this piece , I wrote, “2023 is a year of serious promise for Xbox, but it comes with an understandable sense of urgency from Xbox owners.” That urgency remains for 2024, following the mixed reception for Starfield, the most important launch for Xbox since, arguably, Halo 3 in 2007. But there’s even more reason to be optimistic coming out of 2023, as Hi-Fi Rush kicked the year off with a unique and award-nominated rhythm-action game that nobody saw coming; Microsoft survived legal challenges from multiple regulatory agencies and closed its Activision-Blizzard-King acquisition; and Xbox Game Pass continued to win and win . And looking ahead to 2024, that positive momentum looks se

One Fan's Quest to Make the Perfect Light Gun for 2023 Continues

Since 2019, the Sinden Light Gun has been the first and only contemporary light gun that will work on modern TVs and displays. Yet despite the technical achievements made, its creator, Andy Sinden, is aiming higher to make this a product not just an easy way to play your favorite light gun games on an high-definition TV, but to fully revive a niche and otherwise forgotten sub-genre of games. “My development priorities for the Sinden Light Gun is all about adding support to more hardware, emulators, and games. So finding ways to work directly on old consoles such as NES, PS2, and Dreamcast and supporting more systems good for emulation systems like Steam Deck and MiSTer FPGA,” Sinden explains. “Working with emulator developers to add light gun support to new emulators, working with developers and publishers to put more and more games on Steam that can work with light guns such as the recent House Of The Dead: Remake .” Sinden’s ultimate goal is to have these devices work natively o

God of War’s Christopher Judge Seemingly Won’t Voice Young Kratos Out of Respect for TC Carson

God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok's Christopher Judge is uninterested in voicing a younger version of Kratos out of respect for the character’s original actor, Terrence C. Carson. As reported by TheGamer, Judge shed light on his feelings about the Ghost of Sparta’s early days during a livestream event with YouTuber AbdBay and Streamily . He says that, although Kratos is a role he did not want to take lightly, he also wanted to focus on leaving his own mark on the character. “I never watched any of the scenes from the earlier (God of War games) because TC’s so great, and I thought it would be a disservice to try to voice match him or anything, nor did they ask for it,” Judge said. “From the very beginning, it was about making it my own.” Spoiler warning for God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla. Judge continued to say that, even if PlayStation developer Santa Monica Studio had asked him to work off of Carson’s portrayal, he “would have said no.” Interestingly, when highlig
