Vampire Survivors' v.1.8.0 free update is coming soon and will bring with it a new gameplay experience called Adventures, which are "self-contained miniature story modes that reset and remix the game's content." As revealed in a FAQ, Adventures will let you play as the Vampire Survivors' cast and go on a bunch of "wacky sidequests" to learn more about the lore of the game. IGN had the chance to speak to Diablo 4 production director Tiffany Wat and associate game director Joe Piepiora at BlizzCon 2023, and they dropped a pretty big hint about the highly sought-after but yet-to-be-confirmed Cow Level. Blizzard's new free-to-play mobile spin-off popped up on the App Store earlier today, and it seems to be fully playable based on initial testing. Following layoffs a few days ago , Bungie has published a statement about the "difficult" week the studio had as the developer alludes to some of its plans moving forward. "This has been one of the most difficult weeks in our studio’s history, as we’ve parted ways with people we respect and admire," the blog post begins, addressing the layoffs that affected roughly 100 employees. "We’ve spent this week supporting one another, including those who are at the studio, as well as friends and colleagues who no longer are." The team also acknowledged that it has lost "a lot of [its fans] trust," noting that it recognizes the concerns and feedback players have shared regarding Destiny 2 and the mixed reception to the Lightfall expansion . Silent Hill: Ascension, an interactive streaming series that premiered on Halloween , has Silent Hill fans up in arms after being hit with unexpected microtransactions. While the series, a group-based choose-your-own-adventure, is "free" to experience, it does include microtransactions, including the $20 Founder's Pack. In an internal town hall meeting addressing a Monday round of layoffs that impacted multiple departments, Bungie CEO Pete Parsons allegedly told remaining employees that the company had kept “the right people” to continue work on Destiny 2. Speaking to multiple current and recently laid off employees, IGN has confirmed reports that Bungie took responsibility for the layoffs, rather than laying them at the feet of parent company Sony. Parsons told employees that the layoffs were largely due to underperformance of Destiny 2 over the last year, as well as lower-than-expected preorders for upcoming expansion The Final Shape. IGN can now independently confirm reports that The Final Shape has been delayed to June 2024, and Marathon has been internally delayed to 2025 after having been in development since 2019. The first DLC fighters for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 have been revealed ahead of the game's launch in just a week on Nov. 7. The fighters are: Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob, Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and both Zuko and his uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
