Outriders 'Appreciation Package' Will Reward Those Hit By Server Issues

After a launch filled with server issues, the developers of Outriders are awarding any player who tried the game in its first two weeks a Community Appreciation Package. The developers say they're still working on the package, but the plan is to make the rewards available for anyone who played Outriders between March 31 and April 11. Halo Infinite Is Getting Match and Performance-Based XP Rewards Next Week And Here's How It Will Work

One of the most controversial parts of Halo Infinite has been its approach to progression, as originally it would only reward players with XP for completing challenges and not for how they performed in a match. This is all about to change as Halo Infinite's Winter Update will add match and performance-based XP when it is released on November 8. As detailed on Halo Waypoint, the Match XP Beta is part of 343 Industries' mission to address player feedback in regard to progression. With Match XP, "players will be rewarded for playing whatever mode they want, and your performance in those matches will tie into those rewards." Furthermore, the "majority of XP" will come from Match XP as opposed to Challenges. Halo Infinite Players Frustrated With Fracture: Tenrai Event's Gated Progression

Halo Infinite's first event - Fracture: Tenrai - is giving Spartans around the world the chance to earn free rewards like the samurai-inspired Yoroi Armor Core. Unfortunately, many have already run into issues with its gated progression and padded event pass. The Fracture: Tenrai Event Pass is free to all players and contains 30 tiers of rewards. Unlike Halo Infinite's premium Battle Pass that requires XP to level up, players can only progress through the event pass by completing specific event challenges. While there is nothing inherently wrong with that, some of the other factors surrounding it are causing frustration for certain players. For one, the event pass can not be completed in this first week that ends on Monday, November 30, according to Halo marketing lead Noah Benesch. The Talos Principle 2 Gets 2023 Release Window

We already knew that Croteam was working on a sequel to its 2014 puzzle game The Talos Principle and that it would arrive on PS5, in addition to PC and Xbox Series X/S. And today, we learned that the game would be released this year.

Announced at today's State of Play Showcase, The Talos Principle 2 is a puzzle game that will greatly expand "the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges," according to the game's Steam page. The Talos Principle 2 was announced back in 2021, and while details on the game since its reveal have been slim.

A PlayStation Blog post on the game notes that The Talos Pattern 2 will take "a giant leap forward" for the franchise, which currently has two games. Specifically, the world design will be bigger, stranger, and more beautiful, according to Croteam.
