Outriders 'Appreciation Package' Will Reward Those Hit By Server Issues

After a launch filled with server issues, the developers of Outriders are awarding any player who tried the game in its first two weeks a Community Appreciation Package. The developers say they're still working on the package, but the plan is to make the rewards available for anyone who played Outriders between March 31 and April 11. Mass Effect Legendary Edition Confirms 120fps on Xbox Series X and 60fps on PS5

With just over a week left to go before the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, EA has confirmed that the Xbox Series X can run the game at 120fps, while the PlayStation 5 will run the game at 60fps. Up until now, it was unknown how the classic trilogy of games would run on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Legendary Edition director, Mac Walters, told IGN in an interview earlier this year that the team has "some targeted unleashing of the game so that it will leverage a little bit more power of the next-gen series beyond just the faster load times you'd expect from the SSD." The Sims 5 Will Be ‘Free to Download,’ EA Confirms

In some big Sims news today, EA has confirmed that The Sims 5, codenamed Project Rene, will be “free to download when it's ready." “This means that when Project Rene is ready and fully open to players, you will be able to join, play and explore it without a subscription, core game purchase or energy mechanics,” EA elaborated in a blog post today during a new Behind the Sims presentation. “We want playing to be super easy for you to invite or join friends and experience new features, stories and challenges.” The blog post went on to say that the next Sims game won’t replace The Sims 4, but that the two will exist “side by side": "We will continue to support both at the same time and will plan to bring more exciting content to The Sims 4 community for the foreseeable future,” it added. Xbox Says Some Users Are 'Unable to Purchase & Launch Games or Start Cloud Gaming Sessions'

Xbox Support has warned that "some users are unable to purchase & launch games or start Cloud Gaming sessions" on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and devices that support Cloud Gaming.

Xbox Support tweeted out its latest update on May 7 at 2:34 PT/5:34pm ET, saying 'We are still working on resolving the issue. In the meantime players may see improvement with launching games by rebooting your Xbox console."

While those with games on disc should have no issues, users with digital games may have trouble starting them. Starting cloud games can also be a problem, and users that do connect my be unexpectedly disconnected after it begins. Lastly, users may not be able to purchase new games from the Microsoft Store.
