IGN UK Podcast #559: The Manic Marsupial and Jesse's Voice Changer

The manic marsupial, AKA Crash Bandicoot is back, and because he forgot to press record the first time; so is Dale with a second go at explaining all his thoughts on the game. Jesse is also on and has been playing a ton of Star Wars: Squadrons. In other news, he also has a new voice changer toy that distracts us for a good 30 seconds too. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Preloading Has Begun

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom isn't out for another week, but it's now officially available for preloading. As of today, Nintendo Switch users who preordered Tears of the Kingdom digitally can now preload the game a week early as expected. Of course, it still won't be playable until the game officially unlocks, but preloading it now might help you jump back into the world of Hyrule a little bit earlier — as GameSpot pointed out, the file is 16.2GB. Some fans have reported difficulty with getting the preload to begin, but it appears there's a simple solution. According to Twitter user @PhantomxKairi, canceling the preorder and preordering again should prompt the preload to begin correctly. My digital version of Tears of the Kingdom is now preloading on my Switch! Mass Effect: Dark Horse Reveals Reaper Sovereign Ship Replica

Dark Horse Direct is returning to the Mass Effect series with another replica statue. This time around, the fearsome Reaper Sovereign ship is being immortalized in three dimensions.

The Reaper Sovereign is cast in polyresin and was sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios. The piece measures roughly 14 inches in height and 11 inches in diameter. The display base is meant to depict the battle-ravaged terrain of the planet Eden Prime, with the statue itself inspired by the original Mass Effect game.

The Reaper Sovereign is priced at $299.99 and is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. The statue is available to preorder now on the Dark Horse Direct website, with an estimated release window of November 2022 to January 2023.

This piece should pair nicely with Dark Horse's previously released Alliance Normandy SR-1 ship replica, which was also re-released with a metallic silver paint job. Unfortunately, both versions of the Normandy are now sold out, as are the rest of Dar Horse's Mass Effect ship replicas.

In other Mass Effect news, Amazon is reportedly close to a deal to adapt the games as a live-action series. We have some ideas about what we want to see from a Mass Effect adaptation.
