Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox Series S Could Get Split-Screen After Launch

The Xbox Series S version of hit role-playing game Baldur's Gate 3 won't have split-screen when it launches later this year, but that's not to say it won't receive the feature after launch. A message on the official Xbox Twitter account (below) gave Series S players hope. "To answer some questions we're getting, we'll continue to work with [developer] Larian to explore the addition of split-screen on Series S post launch," it said. Baldur's Gate 3 currently lacks a release date on Xbox despite having already launched on PC and its coming to PlayStation 5 on September 6 . Larian wasn't able to get split-screen working on the weaker Series S, and Microsoft's feature parity policy prevented the studio from releasing even on the more powerful Series X. Mass Effect Legendary Edition Confirms 120fps on Xbox Series X and 60fps on PS5

With just over a week left to go before the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, EA has confirmed that the Xbox Series X can run the game at 120fps, while the PlayStation 5 will run the game at 60fps. Up until now, it was unknown how the classic trilogy of games would run on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Legendary Edition director, Mac Walters, told IGN in an interview earlier this year that the team has "some targeted unleashing of the game so that it will leverage a little bit more power of the next-gen series beyond just the faster load times you'd expect from the SSD." PS5: Amazon Warns It May Not Be Able to Deliver Pre-Orders by Release Date

Amazon is warning customers who pre-ordered the PlayStation 5 that it may not be able to deliver PS5 systems in time for its November 12 launch. Customers who pre-ordered PlayStation 5 systems from Amazon have received emails warning them that Amazon may not be able to fulfill orders in time for launch. Multiple IGN staffers received the same email from Amazon regarding their PS5 pre-orders. “We’re contacting you about your order of PlayStation 5 Console to let you know in advance that you may not receive this item on the day it is released due to high demand. We’ll make every effort to get the item to you as soon as possible once released.” When PS5 pre-orders went live, Walmart customers found some of their orders were canceled, but in Amazon’s case, these PS5 pre-orders are still valid. The only issue is that those who ordered from Amazon may not receive a system on launch day. A similar situation with Amazon happened when the Nintendo Switch was released and Amazon couldn’t fulfill orders in time for launch.
