Saints Row November Update Teased: 'It's a Beast!'

Saints Row is getting a huge new update, and it’s said to be "a beast."

According to Saints Row’s Patch Hub, a new update is on its way in November, and it sounds as though it’s going to add a lot of new features.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience while we got this update ready for release,” developers confirmed. “It includes over 200 fixes and quality-of-life updates, so it’s a beast!”

The update includes plenty of new features, but most notably, improves co-op.

That’s right – Saints Row’s co-op system is getting an upgrade, making it much easier for you to team up with friends and rain chaos upon Santo Ileso.

“Co-op has been a huge priority for us,” they explained. “Significant effort has gone into ensuring that this is working as intended – including connectivity, mini-map issues, and proper credit of player rewards. Fun with a friend in Santo Ileso should be a much smoother experience going forward!”

Additionally, players should see an improvement to Challenges & Collectibles – these will now track properly, and any challenges already completed should be awarded retroactively.

The upcoming update will launch later in November and also includes:

  • More balanced combat encounters
  • More Saints roaming completed districts
  • More vehicle slots and 7 new garage locations
  • More pedestrians and police
  • Easier to escape notoriety levels
  • A voice pitch slider to customize your character further
  • PS5 Haptic Feedback

There are still plenty of other improvements and additions yet to come, and full patch notes will be released alongside the update when it goes live later this month.

IGN’s Saints Row review gave it 6/10 and said: “There are a few spectacular story moments and the city of Santo Ileso serves as a sprawling new playground full of surprisingly antiquated and non-interactive amusements, but the distinct lack of new gameplay ideas – and the frequency with which some of its least interesting ones are reused – means this Saints Row feels more like a repetitive retread than a proper reboot. It’s definitely a new gang of Saints, but they’re guilty of the same old sins.”
